Patient Information
Why see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon?
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Amini, Dr. Wang and Dr. Gaal manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Drs. Amini, Wang and Gaal practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal, to corrective jaw surgery or cosmetic procedures for the face. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Our office can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
One thing to realize is that Drs. Amini, Wang and Gaal spent their entire residency and professional career focusing on the head and neck region. In addition, Dr. Wang spent an additional year focusing on nothing but total facial and body cosmetic surgery. Remember, your face is special and it takes dedicated and specialized training to be a masterful practitioner of the face and oral cavity!
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation and outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
